There are changes in Asterisk which makes upgrading very hard. While writing the abstract we haven't done this task I do not know the outcome. The Channel handling has changed. AMI has about 100 more Events to handle and "subevents" in AMI have gone. Not even thinking of changing from chan_sip to PJSIP. So a simple upgrade would't do the job. One more interesting part ist performance. We will have a look on this. With about 140 Asterisk instances running with thousands of calls throughout the day, performance is very important for us. I will show the major issues we came along and what solution we have found. As well I i will show the outcome of our performance monitoring.
